To celebrate the New Year BCFC NYC were lucky enough to talk to one of city’s most famous fans current Formula 1 World Title holder Jenson Button. Jenson said he’d seen the pictures of John Cleese on the site and couldn’t let him get all the attention.

BCFC NYC: “Jenson we all remember those wonderful scenes at the Brazilian Grand Prix when you clinched the World Title and your shouts and cheering over the intercom but can you tell us what was going through your mind when you crossed the finish line.”

Jenson: “Well my first thought was now I know what the Tinman must have felt like when he scored against Liverpool in the FA cup 1994 at anfield. That Scottish bastard Souness got the sack the next day I laughed my ass off at that.”

BCFC NYC: “All those years ago when you first started kart racing where you grew up in Frome what was the real motivation you think in those early days that drove you to be so successful.”

Jenson: “I was talking to me dad about ways I can make a lot of money so that one day I could buy the city or at least a few players for um and me dad told me racing drivers earn f**k loads so I thought I’d give it a try. Me dad told me just imagine if there’s someone in front of you that it’s a gas head so that first year of karting I won all me races cos I hates those gas bastards.”

BCFC NYC: “So Jenson the switch to McLaren Mercedes after only one prolithic season with Braun, can you tell us a little more of what guided your decision to switch teams.”

Jenson: “I told that Ross Braun, come on I won all those races for you now you gotta help me and sponsor the city haven’t you. But he’s a Manc in he. He was still upset about Mabbutt sticking three past them at Old Trafford. I said to him you got to let it go haven’t you, we all know the city stuffed you no need to keep crying like a little baby about it. But nah he wasn’t interested, you know some teams are just bad losers.”

BCFC NYC: “So what’s next Jenson 2010 , new team and pairing up with Lewis Hamilton, what an exciting prospect to have two British world champions in the same team.”

Jenson: “Yeah Lewis is a good kid, he’s a Steveage fan – yeah I know who the f**king hell are you. Haha. He doesn’t know sh*t about football though so he’s OK. After F1 I’ve been in contact with Landsdown, he said the Scrumpy job will be up for grabs next season so I fancy doing that. It’ll be cool especially with the new stadium and that in a couple of years, get me pies and pastys and beers for nothin then… nice.”
